I was so impressed with how easy the process was when my husband died that I set up a prepaid service for myself. My hope is that my heirs will have one less thing to worry about. I opted for the transportation protection plan. I do some traveling and I didn't want my family to worry about how to get my body home in the case that I die while traveling. The staff were very compassionate and helpful, both when my husband died and when I set up my own final arraignments.

Earth made this process so simple and everyone has been so kind and responsive. The communication was excellent, which is reassuring when sending a loved one for this process from a distance.

Earth Funeral provides an alternative to burial or cremation, whereby human remains are composted over appx 30 days into soil. Along with 4 friends we toured the Auburn, WA facility to learn firsthand the entire process. Our salesman was good. We left him with unanswered questions. The next day I recieved a call back from either his manager or company owner. We talked for about 45 minutes completely covering our questions and much more. I was impressed by the company, it's dedication to the environment and professionalism. I'd be hard pressed to write another review after I use the services purchased for myself! My family members are environmentally-conscious snd likely desirable of a funeral arrangement that is also environmentally friendly.

My Jewish friends don't believe in cremation and burial is getting so ridiulously expensive that it is unaffordable for most. This may be a great option for those who care about the earth, and their finances.

I have never wanted to have my body buried - such a total waste of land. So the only other option I was aware of was cremation. But this alternative to me is in sync with my thoughts about being a doner - make use of our bodies after we're gone. It just makes sense to me. Donate what is useful and return the nutrients for further life in another form with what is left. My only wish to is come up with a different name than 'compost'. That word makes sense, but hits less than positive images - in my brain at least. :slightly_smiling_face:

I enrolled in the plan thinking not only on me but in those that will come after me in this life that need to enjoy this earth as much as I am enjoying it. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be here forever when life has been a piece of the puzzle each one of us built for ourselves and the others we love as well. I love the smell of wet soil early in the morning and if there is some fog coming as well that is a miracle when rich soil feeds the new plant and the environment. I do not have enough words to tell you how happy I am with this decision. The persons there as well are so humble and open to share their own experiences with the process.

Amelia! Amelia helped me through every step with thoughtfulness and kindness. Our case was rare. We had 2 deaths within a 2 month period and Amelia helped me to coordinate both arrangements and tailored it to my family. She even gave us the option of sending both girls back together instead of separately, which was amazing.
