We enjoyed the tour of the facility. All of our questions were answered. We received our welcome packet just a few days after signing up.

I'd been thinking about alternative burial for quite a while now. When I learned about Earth and its goals and methods, I sought out more information. I took a virtual tour, talked with my daughters and friends, and gave this decision careful consideration. I am confident of both the business model that protects me financially and the science of the transformation of my remains. Now my family will not have to bear any of the cost nor arrangements. It's all taken care of, and I find that comforting.

Our visit to the facility was a wonderful experience, due in great part to our discussion with Josh (director of operations). The entire process was explained in great detail in a lighthearted but respectful manner, and the price of the entire process is very reasonable.

Everything was as I expected. No unpleasant surprises.

This is an extremely personal issue with many, many factors involved in the decision. If someone asked, I would gladly offer my positive opinion, but would curb too much emotion.

This is a wonderful place for people who want to give back to the future of the planet when they die! There is no greener way to go. I love the idea of helping to restore the land (instead of taking up space in a cemetary). And there will be a beautiful place for family and friends to walk through. The people are helpful and allow you plenty of time/space to think about what you want to do. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is because I haven't died yet, but so far the process has been simple, direct, and easy.

I would recommend based on my experience but not everyone would be ready to consider your services.

Earth has been amazing to deal with. From before my mother's death when she was ill and we first booked the package you answered all of our questions quickly. Once she passed you were incredibly responsive keeping us up to date on every step. We so appreciate it and know our mother would be extremely happy with how her body is being used.

I was very happy to see that Earth funeral offers an ecologically sound service, as I knew cremation was a bad option. I called them up and received thoughtful answers to all my questions. Chris, who helped me was very well informed, thoughtful and kind. He also helped me patiently through some technical SNAFUs, and my husband and I, who live in California, became informed that Earth Green Funeral Home is in the process of buying land needing restoration in California, which in addition to the Olympic Peninsula In Washington, will serve as a mulch deposit site.

Someone said to me recently that I could be composted rather than burial or cremation. What?? Then I heard about composting again in a discussion of personal carbon footprint. The organization Earth was mentioned. I went online to their website and researched the whole concept and process. The more I thought about it, the more I felt this was a small way I could personally make the world a little better for my son and daughter. Now that I have procured an end-of-life contract with Earth, I have a real sense of satisfaction knowing that I will enable the growth of new life after I pass. And I have received nothing but positive reactions from my kids and friends when I mention the Earth contact.

I found the perfect thing to do with my body after death. These people are kind, sensitive, efficient, they listen well, are patient and helped my family be comfortable with my decision. I recommend this way of taking care of the earth, your family and your body after death.

I am already sharing about Earth Funeral to family friends and colleagues. The only current downside to composting is that there are too few states doing it yet so there is still a carbon footprint to ship bodies to WA. But planes are flying anyway, and cremation furnaces are not firing in these situations.

This method seems the best by far in terms of peaceful gentle transformation of bodies of those who have completed their journeys here , and the optimum for the environment. Paul was happy to know his body was going to become compost. I told my family I would wish for this to happen for me as well. Also thank you for you kindness, consideration and service.

For the past several months, my partner and I have looked at and compared and discussed our options for our bodies when we die. We knew we wanted the lowest possible carbon footprint, which ruled out cremation. We knew that we didn't want to take up space on a plot of land somewhere, which ruled out cemetery burial. Soil transformation/human composting feels like the best choice for us, given our love of gardening, plants, all things green. Nicole was very helpful, answering our questions and holding space for our process. Knowing that our offspring won't have to deal with this after we're gone gives us peace of mind.

Seems like the only ecologically responsible choice

My wife was very much attuned to nature and ecology. She always expressed a desire to have her body just be returned to nature in the most ecological friendly and beneficial way possible. When she passed recently in October 2023, I honored her wishes and researched green burials. We live in California, and I found out green burials (that is composting of remains) was legalized in CA, but does not take effect until 2027. However, since Earth Funeral is based in Washington state, where it is legal, I contacted them. I still needed to go through a local funeral home in CA to handle the paperwork, such as the Death Certificates, pick up my wife's remains and work with Earth to arrange an air flight to SEA-TAC. Everything on both ends went smoothly and Amelia from Earth was exceptionally nice and responsive. It was all worth the money. There are family and friends of my wife who asked to have one set of soil (32oz container and 1 oz Keepsake). I am going to instruct my next of kin to use Earth Funeral when it is my turn.

I did the deep dive on the different organizations here in WA. Earth Funeral had the best service options at what I thought was the most competitive pricing. After signing up I found them to be helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. Especially when setting up a payment plan. The world wide insurance policy to deliver my body to the funeral home brings peace of mind as I travel. Plus it’s not necessarily to think about and purchase such insurance for each trip.

From initial contact they have been nothing but friendly and helpful for my wife and I. We arranged a tour of the facility and it convinced us entirely. They are mission driven and respectful of their clients. We signed up for arrangements for both my wife and I and it was reasonably priced and offered us peace of mind that our end of life arrangements will be both paid for and low impact on the environment.

I have found all the employees at Earth Funeral to be very helpful and knowledgeable. I also like the fact of how reasonable the price was, compared to other funeral companies.

My husband and I found Earth through my search on the internet for soil transformation of the body. We took a trip to the facility to further our research and we were so impressed by the facility and knowledgeable persons there that we signed contracts for both of us. We continue to be in contact and will be going to the Olympic peninsula to see the land where our soil will be deposited.

No ghastly cemetery to contend with short or long-term. No chemical insults (embalming) at the end of life. Returning to the earth seems most natural.
