My daughter had expressed that she would like to be buried under a tree. We could not find this method, but EARTH Funeral came very close with their method. We were able to place the soil they sent us in with our soil and plant a tree of our choice to remember her always. We were totally appreciative of their attitude each time we spoke with them.

The service was prompt and compassionate and spent time to answer our questions and kept us informed about the process for my sister. My husband, mother and myself are now going to be writing in our wills that this is what we want for ourselves as well.

Your method was the closest we found to what my daughter had said she wanted. Each contact with you was handled by your staff in the nicest manner. I really dislike feeling like I am dealing with someone who is very fake with their reactions. That was never an issue with Earth.

Environmentally alternative to cremation

Speaking of and planning for death can be a difficult issue to take on, but necessary. I asked for material to review and then my contacts with Earth were helpful both in my knowledge level and my comfort in my choice.

I believe I have a passion and I’ve always been searching for something like Earth and recently. I came across as I was getting my death certification and then my dad passed and the first thing without a thought was to call Earth. I know that this is what I wanted for my father and I know this is what I want for myself and I do believe that there is no other choice going forward as our planet Sustain coffins being buried on top of each other and that pollution in the toxins that go along with cremation is also not sustainable for our planet and earth is not only sustainable, but it is beautiful and everybody there has been absolutely wonderful walking me through each and every step and no question is a dumb question and for every time I called and had one there was a beautiful answer and a loving kind human being to speak with me and I got to watch the process when I logon to see when the 45 days were up and where my dad soil was going to go and some of it came home to me where it is going to be placed in sacred places on my land and some family members lands and I’m teaching the grandchildren about this and how to grow with the soil and it’s been a beautiful experience and it really helps because going through all the emotions and heartache of loss in the morning and the grief process knowing that you’re doing something beautiful that’s going to keep our planet pure and surviving for generations to come. It’s a big thing and I think that this shed so much knowledge and light on that and it is just absolutely amazing and I could not recommend, anything more than this and it is so dear to my heart I think that the more we can spread the word about this the better our planet is going to be 🙏🏽🫶🏽🙏🏽

I have given a lot of thought to what I would like done with my remains when I no longer need this body. Earth funeral presents me with an idea that pleases me. I was raised on the concept of dust to dust, so cremation was my first choice. The thought of being a part of the Earth pleased me. Giving back to the Earth a little bit of the nourishment she has given pleases me. I told my children to grow some pot - call it Nonna’s special and get everyone high on me. Death is difficult enough. Earth offers a lovely alternative that also protects our environment. The image of a body going back to the earth on a bed of wildflowers is lovely and we know that we will be handled with care.

Believe it is the best environmentally friendly choice

Why Earth specifically? First we ever heard of such and not aware of others providing such service. Information we saw on web site and virtual tour helpful. (Washington location relatively near to where we live, so may be a harder sell to folks further away.)

If you are looking for an alternative to standard burial practices, this company has figured it out! They were very helpful and it is easy to set up. Now my body will be used as it was intended, to nourish other living beings on our fragile planet.

Not as expensive as a normal casket ⚰️ in the ground type of burial and it’s already paid for, my wife or my children won’t have to do a thing, but make a call. It’s fairly new, and it seems a more natural way to deal with death. It’s not tied up with a bunch of religious rigmarole in which I don’t participate, so this is better for me. I’m not going to get a Twenty-one Gun Salute, a draped coffin nor a news story at 11:00. This is exactly what I was looking for! The counselors were very knowlegable and helpful. The process is pretty simple. The only thing: please set up a giving portal that includes a bank transfer option.

We are so impressed with how much thought has been put into Earth Funeral, from how to handle organ donors, transportation, including across state lines, communication with families, biodegradable urns that are mailed to the families plus all the people who spoke with us (Rho in Arizona) and helped us fill out forms on line (Sarah),(we aren’t good with technology). I’m a former teacher and I know the above is a run on sentence, but there’s so much to mention - handling the obituary, death certificates, planting trees, helping conservation area, helping Earth. We are already telling people about our decision, one that helps us sleep better at night. Thank you

It was very easy to pre-plan my arrangement. It is a natural process of human decomposition after you have died. I have seen a couple of shows on the process and decided this is the way I wanted to give back to the earth.

Everything that Earth did was perfect. From my initial inquiry 6 months ago to my receiving my wife’s soil yesterday. Amanda and others at Earth helped me thru this process with kindness and compassion. They arranged for a local mortuary to pick up my wife and the notified me of her arrival at Earth. Then about 10 weeks later I received her soil. This was something my wife wanted very much and everyone at Earth made it such a peaceful transition process. Now I have my wife’s soil in time for her celebration of life next month. I would recommend Earth with no reservations.

They were very helpful in the whole process and answered all questions and my wife and I are very happy to know we’re helping the environment and have some left over so we can still be together.

I think you're service is the best burial option available. Returning my body to the earth it came from using natural decomposition feels harmonious with my path and seems to be the environmentally responsible way. I also like that the package is complete, making for minimal effort on the part of those who will receive my remains.

My youngest daughter had a horrific reaction to medication. She was brought to ED after being unresponsive, not breathing followed by cardiac arrest. She was a donor and remained on life support before having it removed. Then her organs went to several people. I had looked into Earth for myself never dreaming it would be needed for my daughter. Everyone who I delt with showed their compassion and their knowledge of the process. As hard as it was I truly felt this was something she would have chosen. I thank all the staff especially Amanda who stayed in touch throughout.
