Composting is the quickest way to reincarnation with the least carbon footprint! I may be leaving life, but I want to support the biosphere. We visited all 3 Seattle composting sites this month and chose Earth for the simple and comprehensive service. The fact we are in your service area but were not in Recompose's; which currently wanted an additional $1200 and who knows how much more in 5-10-15 years?

For me, the soil going to the Olympic Peninsula to enrich the habit for tree planting has great appeal. We plant trees on our property and I have 5 more to plant this weekend. Flawless customer service and follow through! I couldn't have been more satisfied, but the work with "efuneral" was more difficult for me, except for the intervention of the Earth Burial staff, it would have been more onerous!

I like the idea of helping the environment after I died.

I have purchased prearrangements with Neptune Society. After dealing with them on a recent death, and knowing the availability now of Earth burials I much prefer this method. I wish it had been available years ago when deciding on making my preplanning arrangements.

The tour was interesting and meaningful. It makes good sense for life on this planet to use this method. We felt secure in this as advance planning, as we might live 20+ more years.

Perfect scenario regarding our wife, mother and grandmother

Staff very courteous and empathetic during very difficult time for us-tragic death of our son 24 from gun accident. Compost process very natural and inexpensive around 4K. Genesis 3:19 By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.” Composting is in harmony with nature. Seems the most natural way as opposed to expensive caskets, vaults, tombstones, plots etc.

Short of burial in a winding sheet with no embalming, this is the closest thing to the natural order of things that is currently offered.

It's time to get my end-of-life affairs in order and I was looking for a "green burial". I discovered Earth soil transformation "burials" and compared having my body composted to a green burial in the local green cemetery. For one thing, the price to have my body composted is much more reasonable than buying 70 square feet of real estate in the county where I live in Washington. I also simply love the idea of my body being turned into compost and then reused to grow trees and indigenous plants in a deforested area on the Olympic Peninsula. What a lovely place to rest. Before I made the commitment to this process I took a tour of the facility. It is so cool! Minimal carbon footprint, very positive impact on the environment. Plus it is a startup which is exciting to support. Frankly I find the entire process of body composting to be rather futuristic, fun, a little wacky, and just very cool. I feel so satisfied that I have chosen this method. It was easy and everyone was friendly and supportive. The person I worked with was there for me but did not get pushy as I was considering the options. I'm telling everyone I know about it and so many are interested. If you are at a stage in life where you're looking at getting your affairs in order and care about the earth this is a wonderful option to consider.

I believe in this process! It’s better for the environment, cost effective, and supporting a startup. Beyond that I find it to be futuristic, a bit wacky and just very cool. I love the idea that my body will actually be contributing to the earth versus lying in a green grave decomposing (which was my second choice). Frankly, this whole process makes me feel better about dying.

As a funeral home professional who cares deeply about the families I serve, I can tell you without any hesitation, you will receive the same quality of service from Earth. I'd been thinking about alternative burial for quite a while now. When I learned about Earth and its goals and methods, I sought out more information. I took a virtual tour, talked with my daughters and friends, and gave this decision careful consideration. I am confident of both the business model that protects me financially and the science of the transformation of my remains. Now my family will not have to bear any of the cost nor arrangements. It's all taken care of, and I find that comforting.

Our visit to the facility was a wonderful experience, due in great part to our discussion with Josh (director of operations). The entire process was explained in great detail in a lighthearted but respectful manner, and the price of the entire process is very reasonable.

This is a wonderful place for people who want to give back to the future of the planet when they die! There is no greener way to go. I love the idea of helping to restore the land (instead of taking up space in a cemetary). And there will be a beautiful place for family and friends to walk through. The people are helpful and allow you plenty of time/space to think about what you want to do. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is because I haven't died yet, but so far the process has been simple, direct, and easy.

I would recommend based on my experience but not everyone would be ready to consider your services.

Earth has been amazing to deal with. From before my mother's death when she was ill and we first booked the package you answered all of our questions quickly. Once she passed you were incredibly responsive keeping us up to date on every step. We so appreciate it and know our mother would be extremely happy with how her body is being used.

I was very happy to see that Earth funeral offers an ecologically sound service, as I knew cremation was a bad option. I called them up and received thoughtful answers to all my questions. Chris, who helped me was very well informed, thoughtful and kind. He also helped me patiently through some technical SNAFUs, and my husband and I, who live in California, became informed that Earth Green Funeral Home is in the process of buying land needing restoration in California, which in addition to the Olympic Peninsula In Washington, will serve as a mulch deposit site.

Someone said to me recently that I could be composted rather than burial or cremation. What?? Then I heard about composting again in a discussion of personal carbon footprint. The organization Earth was mentioned. I went online to their website and researched the whole concept and process. The more I thought about it, the more I felt this was a small way I could personally make the world a little better for my son and daughter. Now that I have procured an end-of-life contract with Earth, I have a real sense of satisfaction knowing that I will enable the growth of new life after I pass. And I have received nothing but positive reactions from my kids and friends when I mention the Earth contact.
