Your method of processing remains benefits the planet by providing advantageous nutrients to soil supporting flora, fauna and air quality. Cremation creates detrimental greenhouse gasses through the release of carbon. Cemetery burial is a wasteful use of the limited land mass we have on earth.

The earth is polluted enough without putting chemicals filled dead bodies into it. I don’t want to burden my family being stuck with my ashes not knowing what to do with it. I like to be able to give back to the planet and if my remains can help a little tree to grow that would be a good end to my existence.

I have already recommended it to at least half a dozen people. Jefferson Land Trust id going to consider human composting and the own a big chunck if Chimacum Ridge. I don’t know what process they might debelop but it seems like bugs and worms might do the work. I like the chemical action coneptually as who really wants to think about bugs. The concept of returning my body to soil pleases me. Signing up was easy; the staff are so helpful and friendly; and the cost is much less that traditional burial. My husband and I spoke with our 4 adult offspring prior to purchasing and they all were positive about our decision. Now they don’t have to deal with this after our deaths!

Earth guided us through the distress and logistics of my husband’s accidental death with grace and meaning. It has given us untold comfort to know that his remains will help generate life, and see the sun again.

Recently decided to invest in this option as it seems to be a great alternative to traditional burial options.
