Olympic Peninsula

Restoring land for future generations

Surrounded by Giant Maples, Red Cedars, and Douglas-firs, our serene five-acre property on the Olympic Peninsula is undergoing a remarkable transformation. Using soil from the Earth process, we're restoring and conserving this land for future generations.

This conservation land represents our inaugural restoration project, previously logged and overrun with non-native species. Our mission is to restore soil health and revive the native ecosystem.

We've planted over 100 trees, including red cedar, sitka source, dogwood and huckleberry, and removed non-native species, such as rhododendron.

Starting in Fall 2024, families whose loved ones have undergone the Earth soil transformation process can visit and participate in our restoration efforts. We've created a half-mile walking path to make it easy for everyone to explore and contribute.

Logged multiple times over the past 150 years, Earth is using a combination of best available science and long term forest management techniques to restore the existing forest and emergent wetland ecosystems.
