Woodrow Spencer Spivey, “Spence” to all, "Bucko" to grandkids, left us September 3rd, 2024, in Portland, Oregon. He was born in 1948 in Hialeah, Florida. Right out of high school, he spent 3+ years in the Air Force, followed later by 3+ years in the Navy. He was aboard the USS Oriskany “the Mighty O” on Peace Day January 27, 1973. He used the GI Bill to complete his education. He worked in a variety of occupations, but one he liked to talk about the most (besides the Navy) was working for the Internal Revenue Service, helping clients to work out their taxes rather than lose a car or house. His parents were (Mother) Dorothy Virginia Scanlan Spivey Wilber, (Father) Woodrow Wilson Spivey, and (Step-Father) Edwin K. Wilber. His sister is Amber Marie Wilber Watkins. His children [and their partners and children] are Michelle Melane Spivey [Dustin Ryan Spivey, Alexander Kayden Spivey], Russell “Russ” Boone Spivey [wife Melissa Pace Spivey], Roz “Rozie” Anne-Marie Spivey [husband John Lynn Tyler, Jr, Davan Rayn Spivey], and Catherine “Cates” Virginia Spivey [partner David Alexander Lay]. His wife is Ginger Dawn Blomberg.
