Verna Gonzalez

Verna June Gonzalez (born Heinle) in Los Angeles County, CA lost her battle with Covid on April 20, 2023 at the age of 90 in Eugene, OR. Verna attended and graduated Perris High School, Perris, CA. She resided in Hemet, CA for many years as a telephone operator and homemaker. In 1977, she moved to Roseburg, OR with her husband and daughter. In Oregon, Verna worked as a teacher's aide and attended and graduated from University of Oregon. She and her husband moved to Cottage Grove, OR in 2004 to be close to their two grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Tony, her sister Norma, her daughter Rebecca, her son David and her granddaughters, Tiana and Melia. Verna was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with family. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her.
