Leaf - Earth Leaf - Earth Leaf - Earth Leaf - Earth

Stephen James Staunton, 34, of Los Angeles, CA, sadly passed away on August 13, 2023 after a terribly short battle with brain cancer. Stephen was born to Kevin Staunton and Kate Fosselman on October 23, 1988. After graduating from California State University Northridge, Stephen went on to work at Whole Foods Market where he ended up as a Team Member Services Generalist for the company.  His family will remember him as a wonderfully kind, immensely smart yet silly, strong, determined, and caring man. He cherished his family and friends and valued creativity, imagination, education and kindness towards others as well as to the environment. He was a passionate and enthusiastic fan of Disney, and Star Wars. And he spent a good amount of time sharing that passion with his partner and family with regular trips to Disneyland as well as collecting all kinds of memorabilia. His love for music knew no boundaries as he was a fan of countless genres and artists. He even played clarinet as a child and followed that with the bass guitar into adulthood. Stephen was also a huge lover of ceramics and created many of his own pieces both as art and as gifts for family and friends. In everything Stephen did and shared, his love for his partner, family and friends was at the center of it all, even as he struggled with brain cancer.   Stephen is survived by his loving partner of 8 years, Sean Hanna as well as his mother Kate Fosselman, step-father Steve Jarvis, brother Sean Staunton, step-brother Clay (Kendra) Jarvis, and nephew Dean Jarvis.

Leave the earth with beauty

Earth specializes in soil transformation, an environmentally-friendly alternative to burial and cremation. Over a 45-day process, we gently transform a body into nutrient-rich soil. We then send this soil to our local conservation land where it’s used for restoration projects such as reforestation and nourishing challenged ecosystems.
