Shirley Dunn

Shirley "Shirlee" Eugene Margaret (Anderson) Dunn passed away peacefully at the age of 90 at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital on January 6, 2025 surrounded by four of her five children and other family members. She was loved by many who called her mom, sister, aunt, cousin, grandma, GG Grandma, Grandma Shirlee and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Laura Anderson, and her brothers Clifford and Douglas. She is survived by her sisters Janice and Marcia, her children Shirley "Sharie" Dunn (Siwanowicz) Telles, Leo Dunn III, Deborah "Debby" Dunn (Turk) Jones, James Dunn and Kelly (Dunn) Smith. She also is survived by her grandchildren: Danny, Jeff, Shannon, Bryan, Erin, Leo IV, Jason, Eric, Brianne, Bridgette, Patrick, Joshua, Hannah and Jacob, plus 11 great grandchildren. Shirlee was a popular waitress for most working years of her life, as she was a people person. She even got paid as a requested traveling waitress, later owning and running a small cleaning business named Domestic Divas. Shirlee loved to spend her free time in the garden taking care of plants, beachcombing, and walking on the beach. She especially loved dancing in her community of Los Osos several days and nights a week, and was sometimes known there as Moonshadow. She had many dogs and cats over the years, and loved them all dearly. Arrangements are being handled by Earth Funeral. As per Shirlee's request, there will be no service. There will, however be a celebration of her life in Santa Clarita on August 23rd. All who wish to join in this remembrance are welcome. Her children are also planning a trip to Los Osos for Oktoberfest 2025, where Shirley's life will be celebrated by many of her former friends and neighbors.
