Mary Dederer

Mary Louise Dederer 1/13/1944 to 4/23/2025, Mary passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Erna Caroline (Bohn) Dederer, Rev. Henry E. Dederer and her brother Dennis G. Dederer. Mary was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Stockton, Ca. She received a B.A. and M.A. from Stanford University. She taught high school English for many years. Later, she was an English teacher at San Jose State. She lived in the Santa Clara area for her adult life and maintained close friendship with many fellow Stanford grads. She was deeply involved in poetry groups in the area and nationally. She authored two books of her poetry. Mary had many friends in the area and was loved by all. Her thoughts and poems will be missed. She is lovingly survived by brother Thomas E. Dederer. A memorial service will be held on May 10 at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church 3149 Waverley Street, Palo Alto, Ca
