John (Jim) James Trudeau Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John (Jim) James Trudeau, a beloved husband, brother, son, and friend to countless lives he touched. Born in Washington, D.C., Jim died on April 1, 2025, at the age of 61, after a courageous two year battle with cancer.
Jim leaves behind a family who adored him, including his devoted wife, Jacky Trudeau; his brothers, Jay Trudeau and Jeff Trudeau; and his loving mother, Joan Trudeau. He is preceded in death by his loving father John James Trudeau Sr. He is mourned not only by family but by the many friends and acquaintances who were privileged to experience the kindness, generosity, and joy that defined his life.
Jim had a lifelong passion for music, horseracing, and all sports, particularly University of Maryland Terrapins athletics. Among his most cherished accomplishments was founding the Madness Eve party on the Wednesday before March Madness in Las Vegas, a celebrated event that drew over 1,500 attendees during this year's gathering at The Strat.
