Jo Ellen Maurer

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jo Ellen Maurer of Fremont, CA, who died at age 77 on March 5th, 2025 after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Karl Maurer, and her son Matthew Kellner. A private funeral service will be held in her memory, surrounded by close friends and family. In lieu of flowers, we invite donations to your local public library, honoring Jo Ellen's lifelong love of books and reading. Her favorite authors were J.D. Robb, Robert Heinlein, David Webber, and S.M. Stirling, to name just a few, as there were many more.
