Jennifer Lynn Lurvey, known affectionately as Jenny and Macy Jay, was born in Los Angeles on December 24, 1969 and died September 12, 2024, in Culver City, California. Jenny dedicated her life to advocating for animal rights and a vegan lifestyle. She hoped for the free vegan world, where everyone would slow down, live with neither money nor automobiles, and all animals including humans would be vegan. Through Regional Center, many giving and kind people helped her through the years to live as close to this ideal as possible and share her gentle singing soul with others while maintaining her independence. As an expressive artist and musician, Jenny painted and worked in collage, sang and played the drums. She wrote many of her own songs and favored a personal rendition of Bette Midler's 'The Rose'. Jenny was preceded in death by her loving parents, Ira and Barbara. She leaves behind a cherished family, including her siblings Nathana (Jeffrey Horn), Lawrence (Elena Martinez), Jonathan (Veronica Bisek), David, and Robert (Heather Wilkinson). She was also a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews, Sidonie, Eli, Jacob, Samuel, Adam, Maya, and Adiana, who will miss her deeply. Her legacy will continue to inspire and influence the lives of others.
