Dennis Trager

Dennis August Trager died on April 25, 2023 in Bellevue, Washington at the age of 79, from complications of surgery for bladder cancer. He was born January 12, 1944 and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania, by parents Wilbur and Marie Trager. Dennis joined the Marine Corps and got a degree in information systems. He went on to complete his Bachelor degree at City University of Seattle. He was most proud of his career supporting electronic health records in hospitals across the country. After retirement, he lived out his dream to tour the country in an RV. He loved paella, watching football, and listening to rock and roll. Most of all, he was a devoted father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his sister Carole Percival and brother Donny Trager. Dennis is survived by his daughter, Mimi Cabrera, son-in-law, Alvin Cabrera, granddaughter, Zoe, former spouses, Lucy Jone and Johanna Trager, stepdaughter, Christelle Creekmore, and sister, Marcia Zabawa. There will be a celebration of life this summer, plans to be announced. In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in his honor through the non-profit One Tree Planted.
