May 23, 1945 - June 28, 2024

Leaf - Earth Leaf - Earth Leaf - Earth Leaf - Earth

David Christie was the oldest of three sons to James Eric Arntson and June Lorraine Peele. Born in Seattle at Swedish Hospital on May 23, 1945. He was a composer of classical piano and small jazz ensemble music. He was an avid reader and thinker on many subjects, yet music was his heart song. He was also an artist and in tune with his Inner Being. David taught piano for over 50 years to those ages 5 to 70. He enjoyed teaching the theory of improvisation, jazz, and classical piano. David was passionate about music and nature. He loved the many colors of nature, wandering in the forest, and outdoor activities such as gardening, sailing, and jet skiing. David will be missed by Yolanda (Yogi), his life partner, his love, his friend of 17 years, his grandson, Anthony, his granddaughter, Hannah, his son, Julian, his brothers Chris and Paul (Krak), his nephews, Stein and Rudi, many of his students, his spiritual son, Dezmond and a host of family and friends. May David's music forever ring in the hearts and minds of those who heard him play, played music with him, as well as those who had musical pleasure with him as their piano teacher. After David's soil transformation and the soil is returned there will be a memorial gathering. We welcome all family and friends to stay in touch, and this information will be shared once the soil transformation process is complete. Go ahead and plant a tree! It's free and David would love it <3 Peace and Blessings~

Leave the earth with beauty

Earth specializes in soil transformation, an environmentally-friendly alternative to burial and cremation. Over a 45-day process, we gently transform a body into nutrient-rich soil. We then send this soil to our local conservation land where it’s used for restoration projects such as reforestation and nourishing challenged ecosystems.
