Cheryl Larue Vaughn of Lakewood, Washington, was called to her eternal rest on May 1, 2024, at the age of 50. Born on December 15, 1973, in Ogden, Utah, to parents Tamera Stark and Rick Vaughn. Cheryl passed away surrounded by the warmth of her family's presence. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children, Natalia, Briana, and Sevynn; her dear granddaughters, Lyric, Luna, and Nevaeh; her devoted mother, Tamera; her father, Micheal Stark; and her siblings, Brandy (married to John Mcqueen), Brandon (married to Tina Duncombe), and Jordan Stark, Jasmine Lee. The Vaughn and Garder families, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, feel the profound loss of Cheryl. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Darcus (Jeannie) Garder, and her uncles, Thane Ellis and William Thane Ellis. Cheryl's enjoyment of life's simple pleasures was evident to all who knew her. Whether she was engaged in her beloved church, Cheryl professed her belief and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. Cheryl also enjoyed reading, solving crosswords, playing bingo, exploring the outdoors, or relaxing by the ocean, her spirit was content. At home, she found solace in the company of her family, and the creation of crafts with her grandchildren. Her presence at family/friends gatherings was a source of happiness for everyone. Where her contagious laughter she shared freely. Growing up in Spanaway, later moved to Lakewood Wa. Cheryl pursued knowledge at Clover Park Technical College and dedicated her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her professional life, was characterized by her caring and service-oriented nature by touching many lives as a Delivery Coordinator at Lowe’s. Cheryl's life— a testament to love, kindness, and quiet strength. Her gentle humble spirit, will be held in the highest regard by all who were blessed to know her. We take comfort in the belief that her legacy of spreading love and understanding will continue to inspire. Her memory will be forever held in esteem by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. May we continue to treasure the beautiful moments she bestowed upon us. May her soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Leave the earth with beauty

Earth specializes in soil transformation, an environmentally-friendly alternative to burial and cremation. Over a 45-day process, we gently transform a body into nutrient-rich soil. We then send this soil to our local conservation land where it’s used for restoration projects such as reforestation and nourishing challenged ecosystems.
