In Loving Memory of Beneda Temkin July 1, 1939 - December 3, 2024 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Beneda Temkin, who left us on December 3, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on July 1, 1939, Beneda led a rich and meaningful life, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Beneda was known for her warm, compassionate, and unconventional nature. A free spirit who was often ahead of her time, she had a remarkable ability to inspire those around her to reflect on the world in new ways. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and a profound devotion to family and making the world a better place. Throughout her life, Beneda cherished the relationships closest to her, and she was deeply admired for her generosity and her gift for making everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. Her presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Beneda is survived by her five children: • Mindy Laidlaw (née Shernoff) • Eva Lee (née Monsey) • Aaron Monsey • Noah Monsey • Solomon (“Asa”) Monsey She is also survived by her eight grandchildren: • Leda Laidlaw-Hunter • Gabrielle Stein • Kayla Monsey • Judith Monsey • Ariel Monsey • Daniel Stein • Nicholas Monsey • Zachary Monsey And her great-grandson, Hudson Hunter.
