Roland Schnippering

In loving memory of Roland Walter Schnippering. Born in Toronto , Ontario, Canada on a lovely Spring 22nd of May in 1962 , to Inge and Ludwig Schnippering. He grew up in Toronto an integral part of his greater community, enriching people’s lives through music , humor , and linguistic trickery . In 1985 Roland graduated from U of T with a BA in Philosophy and Political Science . He met his wife , a German Colombian-Canadian at the Scarborough College radio station and spent 43 years happily married to her . They had a daughter Kate and son Andre . Since 1997 they’ve lived in the US , spending nearly 20 years in New England , where Roland enjoyed great ski conditions and mountain biked over the fields and thru the woods . He completed his MBA at Northeastern University and won recognition in MBA competitions. There were many music venues to entertain folks with nimble fingers on his keys , in a ska band , in a rock n roll band, in a Greatful Dead cover band … he played it all . Roland built his career in Human Resources and helps support many a leader , trained 100’s and mentored a number of young professionals. Roland was a very beloved colleague at Siemens - Osram Sylvania in Canada and the USA and spent his later 16 years at Philips partnering with people . He is greatly missed by so many , a cherished colleague, loyal husband , a wonderful dad , generous friend and lover of animals . We love you Roland ❤️
