In Loving Memory of Our Bob Robert John Austing, born March 6, 1945, left this earth surrounded by his loved ones on February 10, 2025. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Ione and Norbert, his baby sister, Judy Austing of Spokane, WA, and his older brother, Ron Austing of Billings, MT. Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanne Austing, his children Myra, Grant, and Anna Austing, and Willow Weston. He was a proud father-in-law to Rob Weston and a devoted grandfather to Aiden and Bella Weston, as well as Myraya and Kenai Ford. He also leaves behind his younger brother, Richard Austing, along with Richard’s wife, Rhonda Austing, and his "favorite" niece, Jamie, and nephew, Jeremy. Karon, children Yvonne Tipke, Alison Crouse, Aaron Austing of Spokane, Billi (Andrew) Mutton of Port Orchard, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bob was a truly wonderful person—kind, generous, fand full of warmth. His presence brightened the lives of those around him, bringing joy to everyone who knew him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of calling him family and friend. Whether it was his quick wit, his wisdom, or the unwavering care he showed to others, Bob left a lasting impact that will never be forgotten. Even in his final days, he remained positive, always saying, “Life is good!” He found joy in listening to and singing along with Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Louis Armstrong, “It’s A Wonderful World!”. He never saw himself as someone who “fought cancer” but rather as someone who endured. True to his nature, he spent his days joking, playing cards, and making sure those around him were smiling. Bob was one of a kind—a devoted family man with a beautiful soul. He was an exceptional fisherman, an adventurous world traveler, and an avid card player. In his younger years, he enjoyed the strategic challenge of Gomoku. A proud graduate and lifelong Huskie, he took great pride in his love for the University of Washington. Above all, Bob was the heart of our family—a devoted father, a loving husband, a cherished best friend, and, most importantly, a doting grandfather. His absence leaves the world a little less bright, but his love and legacy will continue to shine in the lives of those he touched. He was an exceptional man who believed in the “isness” of pure love. Sweetheart, I believe you found it. He is deeply missed. Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 13, 2025 from 2 to 5 PM at Crystal Lake Rd. Woodinville, WA 98077 In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local food bank.
