Mei-In Tai

Mei-In Tai passed away on July 6, 2024, at the age of 84, in Issaquah, Washington. She was born on September 10, 1939, to 林年豐 Nen-Fong Lin and 黃花 Hua Huang in Tainan, Taiwan. She married Shang-Pin Tai on March 28, 1964, and they had two children. Prior to her marriage, she was an accountant for a hospital pharmacy at National Taiwan University in Taipei. After immigrating to the U.S. in 1974, she resided in Maryland, where she worked as a manicurist and then a production assistant for a medical technology manufacturer as well as a provider of biological detection systems. She moved with her husband to Washington state at the end of 2019. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, handicrafts, and traveling. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on January 27, 1973, in Taipei, Taiwan. 戴美吟 Mei-In is survived by: 戴尚賓 Shang-Pin (Steve) Tai – husband 林美李 Mei-Lie Swenberg (née Lin) – sister 戴安仁 An-Jen (Allen) and Diana Tai – son and daughter-in-law 戴伊佑 I-Yu (Jackie) Tai – daughter A virtual memorial service was held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 2PM PDT / 5PM EDT.
