Kyoko Yamaguchi

Kyoko Yamaguchi (92 years old), a resident of San Francisco, California, passed away on February 19, 2025, in San Francisco due to old age. Kyoko had lived in San Francisco for nearly 50 years with her sister Hiroko (Hiroko Poshnikoff), nephew Herman, and niece Sasha. She was born on May 27, 1932, in Sapporo, as the eldest daughter of five sons and three daughters to Koji and Yoshi Yamaguchi. She graduated from Higashi Sapporo High School in 1951 and graduated from Hokusei Gakuen University in Sapporo in 1953 with a major in English. After working in Japan, she moved to San Francisco in 1977 as a secretary for Mitsui Bank. Over the next 40 years, she was promoted many times due to her diligence, effort, intelligence, and popularity, retiring as a vice president. Aunt Kyoko was an irreplaceable and precious family member to Herman and Sasha, who was always kind and sometimes a father and mother. Kyoko was passionate about animals, especially dogs, and volunteered as a foster parent with Love and Second Chance Rescue. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, grace, compassion, empathy, thoughtfulness, and willingness to help others. Kyoko loved flowers, but even more than that, she loved lending a helping hand.
