With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Katherine Romero, who left this world far too soon on February 17, 2025, at the age of 23. Katherine was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose strength, kindness, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew her. Katherine was born on November 21, 2001, in Riverside, California to Jonathan and Marisa Adams, where she spent her childhood and attended school. A bright and talented young woman, she pursued higher education in Riverside and later worked as an administrative assistant for several years. As a child, Katherine was full of energy and loved participating in a variety of activities. She was artistically gifted and expressed her creativity through drawing, painting, sculpting, ceramics, and tattooing. She had a passion for crafting and hand-knitting blankets for those she loved, always finding beauty in the details. Katherine also had a deep love for animals, nature, gardening, and plants. She found peace and joy in caring for her plants and being surrounded by trees and forests. She had a special appreciation for the beauty of the natural world and dreamed of one day fostering cats while filling her home with greenery. To honor her love for nature, her family will be planting a tribute garden filled with her favorite flowers and plants, creating a lasting place of beauty and remembrance in her honor. In 2023, Katherine married the love of her life, Devin Romero. Their love was built on deep respect, laughter, and unwavering support. Katherine and Devin were not just spouses but best friends, always there for each other in good times and bad. Above all, Katherine’s greatest dream was to be a mother. On December 16, 2024, she welcomed her precious daughter, Juniper, into the world – a moment she had longed for with all her heart. Though her time with Juniper was far too short, her love and devotion as a mother were immeasurable. Katherine was a source of encouragement and unwavering support to her family and friends. Her kindness, generosity, and strength were evident in every aspect of her life. She faced unimaginable challenges with grace, courage, and an unbreakable spirit. She is survived by her loving husband, Devin Romero; their infant daughter, Juniper; her devoted parents, Jonathan and Marisa Adams; and her brother, Benjamin Adams. She also leaves behind extended family and countless friends who will forever cherish her memory. Katherine’s family will be holding a private Celebration of Life to honor and remember her. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to any animal rescue charity of your choice. Katherine was a great lover of all animals and would be honored by such a contribution. Katherine’s love was a gift to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
