Elaine Morgan | September 18, 1942 – January 24, 2025 Elaine was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on September 18, 1942. She grew up in Massillon and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1961 with a degree in History, later earning her Master’s in Librarianship from Case Western Reserve. She devoted her career to serving children as a librarian, first in the Cleveland area and later in Olympia, Washington, where she accepted a job on the spot during a cross-country trip in the early 1970s. Elaine had a deep love for books, children, and spiritual growth. Her journey of faith led her to Camp Farthest Out, where a conversation with Stan—her future husband—marked the beginning of a love story filled with trials, triumphs, and unwavering devotion. They married on September 3, 1973, and spent over 50 years growing together in love and faith. Elaine passed away on January 24, 2025, in Vancouver, Washington. Her life was marked by kindness, perseverance, and a quiet strength rooted in her deep trust in God.
