It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our mother, Donna Reis, who left us on October 20, 2024, after a beautifully lived life but living with Alzheimer’s, Diabetes and Atrial Fibrillation finally took a toll on her. Born in 1939, in Richmond, CA. She graduated from high school and went onto marry Joseph Dyer in 1958. They had 3 daughters and settled the family in Redding, CA. Then in the summer of 1973 they moved to Lincoln City, OR where the girls grew up and attended school. Donna met and married George Reis in 1984. October 27th would have been their 40th wedding anniversary. Donna is preceded in death by her loving parents Willie and Hannah Anderson, siblings Neal (Eunice) Anderson, Burdella (aka Birdie) Means, LaVonne (aka Tootie) (Howard) Morse and Don (Shirley) Anderson, a niece Judi Slater, a grandson Kai Prange and ex-husband Joe. Donna is survived by her spouse George, her loving daughters Lori (Rick) Rhoton, Karen Fischer, Paige (Terry) Shook. Donna was so proud and loved her 11 grandchildren unconditionally, Jessica (Jim) Davis, Megan (Josh) Smith, Carrie (Jake) Medina, Katie (Matt) Bressler, Joe Fischer III, Ashley (Brad Smith) Fischer, Loren Bennett, Michael (Cheyenne Weaver) Bennett, Emily (Ben) LeBlanc. She also had 2 bonus grandchildren Jonathan and Sam Rhoton. She was also blessed with 15 (12 and 3 bonus) great grandchildren prior to her passing. Known as GG Donna by Harrison and Emma Davis, Payton, Riley and McKenzie Smith, Alex Medina, Scarlett and Bennett Bressler, Joseph Fischer IV, Piper and Tatum Smith, Wyatt and Shilo Bennett, Rosemary and Pearl (twins) LeBlanc. Donna is survived by nieces, Nancy Schultz, Connie (Denny) Harris, Lynell (Bob) Pratt and nephews Arthur Slater and David Morse and all their children also loved their Aunt Donna. Donna loved to bake cookies (but not “too sweet”). She loved to attend garage sales and thrift stores to find the bargain of the day. She once bought a used Volvo at a sale in CA driving it home to OR. She loved hosting the annual Cousin’s Christmas party so her daughters and son-in-law’s could have an evening of Christmas shopping without the kids under foot and spending any time with family always made her so happy. She loved listening to music, watching movies and television. She also had a quick sense of humor. She loved to decorate, and her home was her pride and joy. Donna liked to play card games and created an alphabet game she would play with family. To honor her we have provided A-Z words that describe her: Adoring, Beloved, Caring, Doting, Effervescent, Friendly, Gracious, Humorous, Irreplaceable, Joyous, Kind, Loving, Magical, Nurturing, Obliging, Perfect, Queenly, Radiant, Selfless, Thrifty, Unconditional, Valued, Warmhearted, Xenial, Youthful and Zesty. Donna touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be missed so much, and we all were blessed to call her daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mom, grandma, and GG Donna.
