Clint Smith

March 19, 1950 - Dec. 10, 2024

Leaf - Earth Leaf - Earth Leaf - Earth Leaf - Earth

Clinton Charles Smith Jr, March 19, 1950 to December 10, 2024 beloved husband of nearly 53 years to Kay Marie Miller. Clint was the father to Benjamin Smith (grandson William) and daughter Emily Neely (h: Aaron Neely, grandson Graham). Clint was a very industrious renaissance man owning several businesses and was an expert in several fields. As a young man, he spent summers fishing in Alaska and attended Central Washington University. He married his beloved wife in 1971 in West Seattle. He built over 100 custom craftsman-style homes on the East Side. In the 80’s his love for rhododendrons flourished into a wholesale nursery. His sought-after specimens are in private and public gardens throughout the West Coast, Canada, and England. In his later years, he enjoyed birding, reading, growing dahlias, and spending time with his family, particularly his grandsons. He loved fishing, good food, tall tales and laughs, beautiful architecture, communal gardens, lottery tickets, and spending time with his family. His legacy will live on through the homes he built and remodeled, the plants he grew, and the beauty he left behind. Services will be held in early 2025. Leave the earth with beauty

Earth specializes in soil transformation, an environmentally-friendly alternative to burial and cremation. Over a 45-day process, we gently transform a body into nutrient-rich soil. We then send this soil to our local conservation land where it’s used for restoration projects such as reforestation and nourishing challenged ecosystems.
