Amy Kathleen (Hanlon) Will, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend passed away from a sudden illness on August 28, 2024 in San Diego, California. Amy was born on February 8, 1963 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Edward and Mary Hanlon. She grew up in Sandusky and graduated from Sandusky High School in 1981. After graduation, she obtained her nursing degree and worked for many years as a nurse, both in Ohio and in San Diego, California. She was an excellent photographer, loved music, and loved being in Nature. Amy brought such light, kindness, and care to every relationship. She put her soul into the care and dignity of others, whether they were strangers or family. She would drop everything to help anyone who asked, and nursed her parents through their final illnesses. Recently Amy moved back to San Diego, which was a place she loved. With the help of her wonderful friends there, she made a home for herself and was ready to enjoy life. Amy loved and was devoted to her daughter Shannon and her daughter’s family, especially her grandson, Finn. She was eagerly awaiting the birth of her next grandbaby, who she somehow knew would be a boy before anyone else knew. Amy was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Mary Hanlon, her grandparents and aunts and uncles. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Chris and Shannon Dolce, her grandson Finn, and a soon to be born addition to their family. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Jay O’Connell of Connecticut; Sue and Michael Lane of Catawba; and Sarah Hanlon and Jeronimo Martinez of Port Clinton, and by her niece Hannah Kulka, and nephew, George Kulka, and many cousins and friends. The world is a darker place without her beautiful heart and smile. We cherish all of our time together even as we grieve for more. Services will be held in November at a date and time to be announced.
